what is the advantage of a fixed focal length, as the Zuiko Digital ED 300mm 1:2.8 (Top Pro Lens)?

I plan to buy a zoom lens 70-300mm Zoom do Lenses with long focal length have autofocus?

yes they do. The 70-300mm is slow and has a longer kit lens to go with the 50-200mm SWD version is not cheaper if you can find it. The difference between 2.8 vs 3.5 is great. I have the 50-200mm and its great. I also have the 14-54, but bought the 50mm macro for portraits because its a solid 2.0 lens.
